Cisco IOS PROFINET PN-DCP Packet Processing Remote Denial of Service Vulnerability (CVE-2017-12235)
[Affected Scope] Cisco devices running Cisco IOS Software releases 12.2 through 15.6 configured to process PROFINET messages.
[Impact] An unauthenticated, remote attacker can cause the affected device to reload, resulting in a persistent Denial of Service (DoS) condition.
[Mitigation] Apply official Cisco IOS software updates, or disable the PROFINET protocol if it is not required in your environment.
