Can't patch production immediately? Deploy managed WAF rules at the edge to intercept RCE, SQLi, and deserialization payloads before they hit your origin server.
Technical Root Cause & Exploitation Mechanics
CVE-2026-63339 is a high-severity privilege escalation vulnerability in IXP Manager, a full-stack web application for managing Internet Exchange Points. The vulnerability arises from improper input validation (CWE-20) and flawed authorization logic (CWE-269). An authenticated attacker with low-level access can manipulate specific parameters in web requests to bypass role-based access control (RBAC) mechanisms. Successful exploitation allows the attacker to assume administrative identity, enabling unauthorized modification of peering configurations, network infrastructure settings, and sensitive member data.
Official Vendor Advisories & References
IXP Manager is a full-stack web application for managing Internet Exchange Points. Prior to version 7.3.0, an authenticated, non-administrative user can elevate their privileges to administrator status. Restricting administrative functions reduces exposure but is not a complete fix. This issue is fixed in version 7.3.0.
